Random Products

Do you like broccoli? We do, and it’s good for you, but what if you don’t like it and yet still wish you could have the health benefits? Don’t despair, there’s an answer for you – Juice!DSC08308

It’s 40% broccoli, but tastes like the 10% or so kiwi juice that it also contains. It’s actually pretty tasty, unlike the Mr. Brown Caramel Macchiato – this was a discovery by Donna at Email from the Embassy, and this product was not an experiment to repeat.

If you wish to forego the healthy stuff and revel in the sugary carbonated drinks, there’s always 7-UP.

I love how well they did the logo. The Arabic letters sound out ‘Seven Up’ and although Arabic is written right to left, the letters still portray the familiar English logo. (Which is on the other side of the same bottle, in case you really have to be sure of what you’re buying.)

Hot sauce is written in English, with the Arabic “shitta hara” beneath. Hara is hot. Shitta is … actually the word for a pepper. But it makes me wonder…

Isn't it interesting the things you find outside the US!!! I love kiwis, but can't imagine it masking the taste of broccoli. Good thing we like it!

Can you get feijoas? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acca_sellowiana
they are even better than kiwis!

I've never heard of (or seen, after looking at the link) feijoas. I like discovering new treats though and will keep my eyes open for them!

Oh my gosh - I LOVE random products... how funny are those.

Really, the broccoli juice is tasty? As a lover of broccoli - my favorite vegetable quite frankly - I just don't think I could bring myself to try it. Um... ever.

And I'm so sad to hear that the caramel macchiatto drink was gross... that makes me almost tear up.

We like broccoli too, even the kids, but the juice tastes more like the fruit that it is blended with. The kids didn't like it because they thought it was too sweet, like kool-aid. They aren't used to full strength juice. We tend to drink water with a bare splash of a cranberry blend for flavor, which I haven't been able to find lately(!), hence the juice experiments.
I was very sad about the iced coffee too.

I would type more and be more chatty, but I'm exhausted and going to bed! Best of luck with the juice... o.0
