Brad and I tease each other over our various obsessions. Mine tend to be artsy-craftsy, Brad's are more nerdy-geeky... it's all in good fun, of course, our way of appreciating each other. Our kids tend to have a bit of both of these traits, with Honor leaning more towards the creative, and Brian towards the scientific, proof of which Brian brought home in his homework the other day. He got an 'x' on one of his math problems. He'd answered it with a "?" and that, obviously, was not good enough. It was a word problem: (something along the lines of) "If a box with 3 crayons weighs 60gr, how much does each crayon weigh?" Brian wasn't sure how to answer it without knowing how much the box weighed.
Think he has a future in engineering? Law?

That's a smart kid you have there! That's sort of thing my nerd-tastic husband would think to ask. :)
At least he didn't ask how used or stubby each crayon was since their size would effect their weight. lOL
Those would be great follow up question for the teacher to bring to the class. :D
That is so cute. Maybe something more philosophical?
law
excellent!
Oh how funny. You cant get mad at him for over thinking it. Could have been like my son and conned the answer out of me!
I am proud of the overly logical little guy in our lives! He says he likes science, but I wouldn't be surprised if he chose law... perhaps could start a practice with Nicole's son as partner, logic and strategy, watch out! ;)
Aha! Another scientific-anal kid! You gotta love it!
That`s awesome! I love the way he thinks . . . Obviously the box would have to weigh something and that`s too cool that he noticed.
