Four Foods On Friday 115
I haven’t been blogging much lately, so here’s a meme I haven’t played in a long time.
1. What kind of olive oil do you use? Jordan’s Treasure, extra virgin. It is so good! (My blog post about it HERE )
2. Do you prefer salted or unsalted butter? Salted – so many recipes call for this so it’s easier to have on hand.
3. What size eggs do you usually buy? XL, by the flat! I’m trying to eat more, and better breakfast, and so having the eggs on hand encourages me. Besides, runny eggs on toast with olive oil instead of butter is yummy!
4. What’s in the bottom drawer of your fridge? Carrots, cucumbers, mint, tomatoes, etc.

I never heard of putting olive oil on toast! Is that healthier? I will have to try it.
It is healthier. Replacing butter and other less healthy fats with olive oil is always good. You have to like the taste of your olive oil though. I do :) esp. with eggs.
Hey Connie, I hope that you and the family are well.
As to your meme
1. I use colavita
2. Only when I am baking that I use butter and mostly unsalted butter
3. The eggs we get here are mostly XL by US standards
4. Dried peas and beans as well as veggies :)
Cynthia - Thanks for mentioning colavita, the only problem I have with the brand I now use is that I am not sure I'll be able to find it back home! :)
We use olive oil for so many things now. Gosh I love the stuff, but it is SO expensive. If I ever get to the Mediterranean or Middle East, I'm going to spend all my time in the olive groves, plucking olives and munching them and rolling around in them. :D
Thanks for your nice comment when I was feeling low. So kind... :-)
Mmmm, olive oil... I'll look for that one next time!
aww man, I forgot to get cucumbers. i may have to go back to the store for some now :/
I leave my tomatoes on the counter, I find the flavor of them diminishes severely when they are chilled at any temperature.
mmm.... olive oil....
I like my olive oil sprinkled on pita slices and then lightly salted and then baked just long enough.... nothing is better than that with some hummus or raita... mmmm...
Connie, we like eggs with olive oil too, and we use olive oil on so many other things...even hot air popped popcorn. :)
Also, I'm following you now on GFC and would love to have you follow me too.
