Angel Misty

On Friday morning, our 'big cat' Misty passed away. He was an old guy, over 13 years old and in declining health, but we had hoped he would pull through and stay with us a few more years. He's been with us through so much, and has always been such a good big brother to our non-fur-kids. We are going to miss him so much.

I'm so sorry. It's hard to say goodbye to a pet.

Oooh that's too bad. It's so hard to lose a pet. I had one cat growing up, we had to put her down at the age of 19. Our dog lived to be 14. Hope you all cope well with the loss.
Your right, that is one giant cat! I can believe how big he was.
Our current cat loves to come in and listen to our nightly reading too. He also sleeps on the hard table! It's his favorite spot.

Donna and Nicole - thank you. It is hard to say goodbye to a furry family member that has been with us for so long. For all of the children's lives. They become a part of everything, and so everything reminds us of them. I grew up with a dog, until we were 11yo when she died. I tell our kids that they will never forget Misty, and while it will take time, eventually the pain will stop and they'll remember the good stuff fondly.

Yes, Misty WAS big. Ramses is actually quite tall compared to many cats, but he doesn't look like it next to Misty!

I am sorry to hear Misty died. I wish I could hold and pet my big grandkitty at least one more time. Whenever I use a red laser light I will think of Misty climbing the wall in England. Sleep well, Misty, you will be remembered.

I can't believe my tears.

I've had to sort of 'put away' the laser pointer for awhile. Something else that made the kids sad to see. He wasn't quite hitting the heights that he used to when chasing that little red dot, but he was always very enthusiastic. (:-) He was a fun kitty.

I'm so sorry. The sweet video made me cry.

My childhood dog was named Misty and I still cry when I think about her passing.

I'm sorry about Misty. I know how hard it is to lose a loved pet who is part of the family. One of our cats was a stray my mother brought home when I was under one. She slept with me every night and died when I was in college so she had a good, long life.

Ooohhh, I'm so sorry! It's always hard to lose a pet. There is never a good time, I'm sorry it had to be during the pre-moving preparations. We miss you guys! We're thinking of you!
