ABC

I just found this meme on Expat Mom's blog and thought that I’d much rather do this than start my chores. Chores will still have to be done, but not yet! (Thanks for the excuse to procrastinate Genesis!)

A- My AIR CONDITIONER is: turned off as the condensation drain is non-functional and the unit attempted to flood the entire front room. Fortunately, besides having stone floors that do not care about water, our AC is supplied by separate split packs and we still have cooling elsewhere in the house – it’s been hot the last couple days.

B- My BEDROOM theme is: Theme?? Ha! Ha! Ha!

C- The CAR in the driveway is: currently at work, but it is a very reliable old Ford in need of new paint.

D- My DESK looks: Desk?? Ha! Ha! Ha! Wait… I already said that… um, I have a table with a sewing machine on it, does that count?

E- The EXACT time I wake up daily is: when the alarm says I must.

F- The FIRST thing I wash in the shower is: my face, I need all the help I can get to get moving some mornings.

G- My GARAGE is filled with: somebody else’s cars, we park in the drive, which I prefer… the garage is small and severely sloped.

H- My HOUSE is: an old, sprawling apartment, nice, but not mine so I’m only ever going to be so-so attached, yet, it’s very homey.

I- If you peeked INSIDE my bedroom you’d see: Attack cats peeking back… beware!

J- My favorite JUICE is: cranberry, highly diluted.

K- The best part of my KITCHEN is: Windows!!

L- The LAST person who visited my home was: My husband’s cousin, right before we went on R&R.

M- The last piece of MAIL for me was: Boxes mailed home during R&R – with the kids’ school supplies arriving just BARELY in time. (whew!)

N- My NEIGHBORS think I’m: I don’t know! We haven’t been here long enough to know people all that well… hopefully I’m making a good impression.

O- If you OPENED my fridge you’d see: Lots of water. We fill bottles (recycled) with filtered water and keep plenty on hand.

P- My last house PARTY was: probably in Cairo. We’ve only had dinner parties here.

Q- A QUICK meal I like to fix is: Leftovers!

R- My favorite ROOM of the house is: the kitchen… see K above.

S- The SHAMPOO brand I use is: whatever works… different water means different soap needs. I change brands with nearly every move. I have no brand loyalty.

T- My largest TELEVISION is: a big flat screen, 32”?? Not sure.

U- UNDER my bed you will find: Cats, cat toys, and whatever else they may have drug under there.

V- The last time I VACUUMED was: last time I dropped a bowl and broke it … I prefer a broom.

W- Looking out my WINDOW I see: Fuchsia bougainvillea, masses of some unknown light blue vine flower, rose bushes, leaves blowing in the breeze, sunlight, and the gardener and deputy gardener tending to things.

X- I wish I had X-TRA: energy and/or time in the day. My new regimen of meds and vitamins are helping, but still.. there’s so much that I want and need to do, and I only get 24hrs, plus so much battery power, a day.

Y- My YARD is: OURS (well, until we move)… not a common area. It’s not big, but it is so wonderful to have our own little bit of outside.

Z- ZZZZZZZ My bedtime is: when I get done. (…and for the mothers reading this… I’ll copy/paste this for you “Ha! Ha! Ha!”)
