Blowing Widespread Dust plus Drizzle Equals…

The forecast was for a 40% chance of rain today. Instead we had widespread dust and blowing sand… plus just a bit of spitting wet stuff. The truck, which was washed yesterday, is a mess!

We still have rain forecast for tonight and/or tomorrow… I hope so… We need to rinse off the air!

Ewwww...Yuck. That is way worse than when it rain, or maybe snowed, slushies in Germany. I don't even have a word for what fell from the sky that day but it was the consistency of a 7-11 slushy and it made a SPLAT sound when it hit the ground. Nasty. ANd of course i was out of milk so I had to walk the half mile to the store and back. Hopefully you were able to stay home out the raining mud.

We were outside after brunch, but it only drizzled a little then. This mess is what we found in the afternoon. It's been dusty for days :p

I remember the crusty crud well and do not miss it! Hoping you get enough rainfall to rinse everything off but not cause flash flooding.

I hope we get the rain that's forecast! I'm going to have to do some serious vacuuming tomorrow too. After days of having things closed up because of dust, it looked like it might actually clear up this afternoon and I opened a couple windows.... left the house for about an hour and, of course, the wind came back for another helping of sand! Darn. At least the house is less stuffy. We are at that awkward season where it's still too cool to turn on the AC, and too warm not to have air blowing.

Ha ha! It's good to know that maxim is true all around the globe-- if you want it to rain the next day, all you have to do is wash your car!
